Performance artist Bridge Markland is Germany‘s most well known Drag King and lives in Berlin. version german		Already as a child Bridge Markland liked to put on Drag. Her Jewish father played a crucial role in the creation of her first male alter ego. He was not able to accept his extreme daughter, and she parodied the man who rejected her. At the beginning of the Nineties she met Diane Torr and Shelly Mars, another pioneer Drag King from New York. As a result, she created her most successful alter ego on stage, Steve, a bald businessman in a pin-striped suit. With her show she is in demand from Berlin to New York. She loves to change to Queens, Kings and monsters.		Markland embodies the playful change of roles between the sexes, the androgynous figure, the changeling. She says : „I am at home on the bridge“. She is also a chameleon in her sexual preferences.
