Mo B. Dick initiated the first King meeting place in New York, Club
Casanova, together with Drag Queen Mistress Formika. The Drag Kings in the
Club Casanova 'tribe' represented a new masculinity that's wild, sexy,
playful and full of irony, and some of the best Drag Kings performed there.
Club Casanova as a place did finally shut down, also as a result of the
repressive politics of Mayor Giuliani. But the spirit took on to other
places. The Drag King Night in the film took place at the "Murray and
Penny" night at the "Slipper Room".
After Club Casanova closed down, Mo Fischer took the show across
North America and organized thus the first Drag King tour in history. The
all-star international troupe included : Mo B. Dick, Antonio Caputo of
Berlin, Lucky 7 of Philadelphia, and the world famous BoB.
A dream came true for Mo Fischer when she played a Drag King in John Waters
film "Pecker". Today, she is asked internationally for Drag King events and
works on an acting career.
